📖 Reading

My name is Carla, and I am a tourist in London. This is my first trip to England, and I am very happy! My hotel is small, but it is clean and nice. It is near a big park. Today, my friend Paul is with me. He is from Canada, and he is also on holiday. We are at a coffee shop near Big Ben. The coffee shop is busy, but the staff is friendly. There are many tourists here today. Paul and I are hungry, so we look at the menu. There is a sandwich, and there are three salads. Paul's sandwich is big, and my salad is fresh. The waiter is kind, and he speaks slowly for us. This is good because our English is not perfect! In the afternoon, we are at the train station. There are two trains to Oxford: one at 2 p.m. and one at 4 p.m. We are not in a hurry, so we choose the later train. A woman at the ticket desk is helpful, and she gives us a map. Tomorrow, we are at a museum in the morning. I am excited because I can practise my English with new people every day. Travel is a wonderful way to learn a language!
