📖 Reading
My name is Lucy, and I want to tell you about my grandmother, Rosa. She is eighty years old, but she is always busy! She never sits still for long.
Every morning, Rosa always gets up at six o'clock. She usually makes tea and reads the newspaper in the garden. After breakfast, she often walks to the market to buy fresh vegetables. She says fresh food is important for a long, healthy life.
In the afternoon, Rosa sometimes visits her friend Maria. They often play cards and talk about their families. On other days, she stays at home and paints small pictures of flowers. She is a good artist, but she never sells her paintings. She just gives them to her family and friends.
Rosa rarely watches television, but she sometimes listens to the radio in the evening. She loves old music from the 1960s. Once a week, on Sundays, she cooks a big dinner for the whole family. My cousins and I always help her in the kitchen because we love spending time with her.
Last week, Rosa did something new. She usually stays close to home, but she decided to visit the city for the first time in ten years! She was very excited and took lots of photos. I hope she does it again soon. She always says, 'Life is short, so enjoy every day!'
