Last weekend, my family had a competition to find the best cook at home. My mother, my brother, and I each made a dish. It was a lot of fun, and we laughed more than we cooked!
My brother's soup was good, but my mother's soup was better. She used fresh vegetables from the garden, and her soup was tastier than his. My dish, a chocolate cake, was sweeter than both of their dishes. Everyone agreed it was the sweetest thing on the table.
After dinner, we talked about our favourite cooking shows. My brother said his favourite show was more exciting than mine because the chefs cooked very fast. I said my show was calmer and more relaxing. My mother laughed and said her old cookbook was the most useful thing in the kitchen because it was full of simple recipes.
In the end, we decided that my mother was the best cook in the family, but we all agreed that cooking together was the most enjoyable part of the evening. We are already planning our next cooking competition, and this time, we want to invite our neighbours too. My brother says his new recipe will be the biggest surprise of the night!
