📖 Reading

Maria is a nurse, and she loves her job. Every day, she helps people feel better. Last year, she started a new habit: she walks to work instead of taking the bus. The walk takes twenty-five minutes, and it is a great way to start the day. Maria says, "I feel more awake and happy when I walk. My body feels stronger too." Maria also thinks a lot about food. She eats fruit and vegetables every day, and she drinks a lot of water. She doesn't eat much sugar because it makes her tired later. "I used to eat chocolate every afternoon," she says, "but now I eat an apple or some nuts instead. I have more energy now." Sleep is another important part of Maria's routine. She goes to bed at ten o'clock every night and gets eight hours of sleep. Last month, she was very busy at the hospital and slept only five hours a night. She felt terrible! Her head hurt, and she couldn't think clearly. Since then, she has never skipped her sleep again. Maria's advice for a healthy body is simple: move every day, eat good food, and sleep well. She also says people should see a doctor for regular check-ups, even when they feel fine. "Your body tells you when something is wrong," she explains, "but sometimes you must listen carefully. A little exercise and good food can change your whole life."
