Last weekend, Maria and her brother Tom went camping in the mountains. Before they left home, they checked the weather online. The website said it was going to be sunny and warm all weekend, so they only packed light jackets and their swimming things.
On Saturday morning, the sky was blue and the sun was shining brightly. Maria and Tom walked to a beautiful lake and spent hours swimming and having a picnic. They felt very happy about their trip. However, in the afternoon, dark clouds suddenly appeared in the sky. The wind started to blow harder, and the temperature dropped quickly.
By six o'clock, it was raining heavily and there was loud thunder. Maria and Tom ran back to their tent as fast as they could, but they were already wet. They put on their jackets, but the jackets were too thin for the cold, wet weather. They had to stay inside the tent and wait for the storm to pass.
The next morning, the storm had finally stopped, and the sun was shining again. Maria said, 'Next time, we should bring warmer clothes, even if the forecast says it will be sunny!' Tom laughed and agreed. They packed their bags and walked home, already planning their next camping trip, but this time with better preparation for any kind of weather.
